This series of paintings is inspired by the four deserts of the American Southwest - the Great Basin, Mojave, Sonoran, and Chihuahuan deserts and seek to capture the dramatic interplay of elements within these breathtaking landscapes. From river, rain and wind sculpted canyons of Utah and Arizona to the brilliant dunes of White Sands National Park in New Mexico and the journey of the Rio Grande River through Big Bend National Park, each painting serves as a testament to the geological contrasts present in this high desert landscape.
